Story of the Month

Hello, my name is Benjamin Crandell and I would like to thank the Arc of High Point for allowing me to have this opportunity to share my story this month. By the Arc of High Point Allowing me to share my Story helps out with getting  the word out not just about what the Arc is doing but also helps out with the area of  letting people know about those who live out in our communities with disabilities. The thing is that I am an adult with a mental disability known as asperger syndrome and my hope is to actually continue sharing that I don't allow my disability to define who I really am. Even though I have a mental disability I choose to live as normal of a life as possible just like everyone else. For I am a guy that likes to actually do photography, hang out with friends and help other people.

Through being able to be apart of the Arc of High Point has allowed me to help them with various different things. And on of those things would actually being able to help them revamp their website. And the thing is that I have never touched building a website before.  And I am really excited about being involved with helping out. Through helping out with the website revamping helps me learn a whole lot about communication and how to be more conscious about how others will view not just this website but the Arc of High Point  and how the organization is represented.  In addition by helping out with the website it actually helps me be able to actually be able to learn extra skills of how to build them. Through the learning process it will help me be able to be much more technical savvy if I ever decided to actually take my photography to the next level.
